Friends & Family Test

 The Friends & Family Test

Results as of May 2019,  88% of our patients would be extremely likely or likely to recommend us to their friends and family.

What is the Friends & Family Test?

The NHS wants to ensure that you have the best possible experience of care. The Friends & Family Test is a way of gathering your feedback about this experience and helping drive improvement within surgeries.

When you visit one of our GPs or healthcare practitioners you will be given the opportunity to give your feedback by answering a simple question about your experience.

How will it work?

After your appointment at the surgery you will be asked to answer the following question:

"How likely are you to recommend Barbourne Health Centre to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?"

You will be invited to respond to the question by choosing one of six options ranging from "extremely likely" to "extremely unlikely".

It is really important to us that you tell us why you gave your answer.

Your answer will NOT be traced back to you, and your details will not be passed on to anyone, so please tell us exactly what you think.

Do I have to respond to the question?

You do not have to respond to the question. But if you do, your feedback will provide valuable information for our surgery to help ensure all of our patients have the best possible experience.

How will the results be used?

We will gather the results and analyse them rapidly to see if any action is required. We will publish results on our website so you can see how we are doing.NHS choices will also be publishing the results for all surgeries.

Does this replace the existing compliments or complaints procedure?

No, you can still pass your compliments and/ or complaints to us in the normal way.

How can I take part?

If you are registered for text message appointment reminders you will automatically receieve a text within 48 hoursof your surgery visit.  Reply to the number stated on the text with your answer in the form of a number between 1 and 6.

If you do not receive text message reminders or do not have a mobile phone, please fill in a Friends & Family Test form in reception before you leave.
