HPV Vaccination changes

There’s been a recent change in the planned courses for HPV vaccinations for eligible adolescents and adults starting the course after they turn 15 years old, including men who have sex with other men.

As of April 1st 2022, whose who were eligible will now only receive 2 doses of the vaccine at least 6 months apart to be fully vaccinated. The full 3 dose course is no longer necessary. A 3 dose schedule will still be offered to individuals who are known to be HIV-infected, including those on antiretroviral therapy, or are known to be immunocompromised at the time of vaccination.

Those who start the vaccination programme before April 1st 2022 should still be offered the 3 dose schedule.
